When God Nudges:

When God asked me to write a book, my first thought was, “Cool!” but I did nothing.  When He nudged again and asked me to write a book, I said, “Don’t you see I’m busy! It’s too hard, and I don’t know what to write about.”  He let time pass and when he elbowed me again I muttered, “But God, I am so unworthy.  Don’t you see that my life is such a mess right now?  How could I possibly write a book going though all of this?”

God let me push Him away until He nudged me so hard the idea in front of my path tripped me until I hit the ground face first.  He was trying to let me know that it was my mess He was nudging me to write about!  More importantly, it was the armor that I recently had given into and decided to wear.  He was outfitting me with His truths and He wanted me to share with you what I learned.  We live in a messy world with messy side effects, but God doesn’t define us by our circumstances.  We are defined by the faith and trust we put in Him to shield us and guide us along the way.  It’s messy because of sin.  It’s defeated because of His Son.  We are able to navigate through it all by wearing His armor and if we choose to do this, God outfits us with His peace, His joy, and His love no matter what may form against us.

“How often in our lives are we willing to believe in the lies despite the evidence telling us otherwise?” says Crista Crawford in The Full Armor of God: Are You Sure You Got Dressed Today? IRS sent you a audit letter, you just got into an auto accident and your basement just got flooded and it’s only Tuesday. While these things can be considered a natural part of life, they are also attacks. These attacks are called spiritual warfare. Spiritual warfare attacks us at the core. Satan has designed these attacks to throw us off course and to usher us away from God. It has been said that we all experience life, but God looks at the 90% of how we handle things. Crista Crawford shares with us how to fight in her latest book, The Full Armor of God: Are You Sure You Got Dressed Today? It was her own life experiences and challenges that helped to shape her into the woman of God that she is today. Crista Crawford tells us in The Full Armor of God that when you fight, fight to win by putting on the full armor of God.

We are living in a fallen world and The Full Armor of God is one of those books to add to your repertoire to equip you for battle. Everywhere you look, from our personal lives and the weather to our government, you will see it was just as the Bible predicted. But according to Ephesians 6:11-18, we must put on the “full armor” of God while we pray continually in the Spirit because our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against rulers of the darkness and unknown things. How are you fighting? Are you going out naked? Are you going out unprepared? Put on some clothes, but don’t go out with just anything on; make sure that your body, feet, mind and heart are protected. Gird yourself with prayer to prepare for each day. If you ever feel alone in your battle, take The Full Armor of God: Are You Sure You Got Dressed Today? by Crista Crawford along with you as a companion.”

Worth Beyond Rubies

“This book was such a blessing to read.  Some books on spiritual warfare can be difficult for new believers but I believe this book is an easy enough read for people new to the topic but also challenging enough for those well versed in it.  Crista Crawford paints a wonderful picture, piece by piece, of the armor of God and how God has provided each to equip us, not only to withstand the attacks of the enemy but to show His love for us as He envelops us in each piece.

One part of the book I especially enjoyed was how Ms. Crawford likens our time here on earth to a stay in a hotel.  When we stay in a hotel we don’t trouble ourselves with certain things like changing the sheets before we leave, or vacuuming the floors.  We worry about those things at our homes but a hotel is a temporary stay and we know someone will take care of that for us.  We should view our stay here in the same way…it is a temporary home and we should fix our eyes and our hearts on the things of eternity.  Sometimes we can become so fixed on earthly things that we neglect heavenly things.  It is one way the enemy attempts to divert our focus.  All this decays…but our eternal home is forever.

I absolutely recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn more about the armor of God and also for those familiar with it but would enjoy expanding upon their knowledge and getting a fresh perspective!

Thank you Crista for allowing me to review your book!!  It was a pleasure to read!”
